Burnout among nurses during the Covid-19 second wave

Background: The health and wellbeing of nurses are important considerations for workforce retention quality care. We investigated the prevalence burnout among Indian Nurses during Covid-19 second wave. Materials Methods: conducted a cross sectional online survey between April 28th, 2021, to May 21st, 2021. questionnaire was created using Google Form. based on Copenhagen inventory (CBI). Burnout assessed in personal, work, client-related (COVID-19 pandemic wave related) domains. This sent contacts all investigators, WhatsApp Messenger E-mail. A total 516 participated. Results: personal 51.98% which highest 3 domains, work-related burn-out 49.19% related 45.54%. significantly higher age group 41-50. It observed that scores high female participants. Regarding area working Participants General ward recorded both In Personal staff nurse charge professional had compared Head Nurse/CNO. Conclusion: Nurses, one care workers as frontline warriors, face great challenges this pandemic, because nature their work. There is significant COVID-19 Nurses. Further research needed support well-being minimize workplace by developing short- long-term strategies.
